1. The Nature of the Service

Storyboard AI Tool (the “Software”) is a local productivity application. The Software acts solely as an interface and connector.

  • Local Processing: All image processing, storyboard creation, and file storage occur locally on the User’s device.
  • Connector Status: The Software provides the technical bridge to connect to 3rd-party AI services. These AI capabilities are not part of the Software’s proprietary code.
  • User-Provided Assets: Users may use their own art and text within the local environment.

2. 3rd-Party AI Integration

  • Independent Services: AI generation is powered by 3rd-party providers (e.g., OpenAI, Stable Diffusion). These are independent entities.
  • No Endorsement: We do not own or control these AI models. Their performance, safety, and availability are entirely outside our control.
  • User Credentials: Users may be required to provide their own API keys or accounts for these services. These keys are used locally and are not stored on our servers.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties (“No Guarantees”)

The Software is provided “AS IS.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

  • No Guarantee of Output: We do not guarantee that the AI-generated results will meet your expectations or be suitable for any professional purpose.
  • Local Data Responsibility: Because we do not host your projects, you are solely responsible for backing up your work. If you lose access to your local files or your device fails, we cannot recover your data.

4. Use at Own Risk & Limitation of Liability

  • Assumption of Risk: You agree that use of the Software and any 3rd-party AI output is at your sole risk.
  • Liability Cap: Storyboard AI Tool shall not be liable for any data loss, copyright disputes arising from AI output, or business interruptions. In all cases, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the software license.
